SPECIAL ROD DRYING UNITS
These rod drying units are a must if you build or restore your own rods and can be made to take as many rod sections as you want, the unit shown in the photos will take 3 sections at once.
Safe and portable these units can be used anywhere there is a power outlet.
They work on a safe voltage of 18 volts dc via a small plug in transformer and the synchronous motors are set to rotate at 6 revolutions per minute which gives an excellent finish to newly varnished rods. When the motors are stopped by hand for 1 second the motors will run in the reverse direction which eliminates any possibility of varnish runs forming on the rod. This should be done every 5 minutes for the first 20 minutes after varnishing.
Give me a call if you are interested and I will assist you in any way possible.
